Previous Experience: Kathy’s expansive career has included supervision, team leadership, psychosocial and interdisciplinary evaluations and assessments, creation of operations and clinical training manuals, training and teaching, individual and group counseling, holistic practice, behavior management planning, and related management duties.

Professional Focus: Kathy has spent her career in service to others, from work with small children as a mental health consultant, through private practice and then as a clinical hospice social worker. She is passionate about providing care for all members of our community and offering resources to treat those in need of behavioral health services. Utilizing her leaderships skills, she is also committed to developing a well-rounded clinical team that is able to meet the needs of our diverse community.

Hobbies: Kathy likes reading, hiking, meditation, and spending lots of time with her grandchildren.

Erica Berube, LCSW

Education: University of New England, Biddeford, ME | MS Social Work | 2020

Credentials: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Previous Experience: Erica began working in the field in 2008, in a residential treatment program. In 2013, she obtained an MHRT/C certification and began doing case management. Most recently, she was a program manager, overseeing all aspects of a large case management organization in Biddeford.

Professional Focus: Erica’s focus in the field of social work has been community-based case management over the last decade and also providing outpatient therapy to adults. Erica is passionate about working with marginalized individuals and those with significant psychosocial stressors related to combating poverty. She uses an eclectic approach while treating those with various mental health diagnoses - primarily utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Hobbies: Erica enjoys reading, binge-watching Netflix, and listening to podcasts. She also likes seeing live music and spending time with her family.

Eliza Burwell, LCSW

Behavioral Health Clinician

Education: University of New England, Biddeford, ME | MS Social Work | 2022

Credentials: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certificate in Trauma Informed Care

Previous Experience: Clinical Social Work Fellow at Bowdoin College, Clinical Social Work Intern at Bowdoin College, Sex Trafficking and Exploitation Safe House Advocate at Safe Voices, Sexual Assault Response Team Advocate at Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine.

Professional Focus: Generalist with special interest/training in trauma. Advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additional modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Hobbies: Eliza loves being outside, whether it’s hiking, beaching, or just exploring all that Maine has to offer. She is also an avid reader, podcast listener, and Bachelor franchise watcher.

Aliesha Pierce, LCPC

Education: University of Southern Maine, Portland, ME | M.S Clinical Mental Health Counseling | 2018

Credentials: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

Previous Experience: Working with children and families in the home and community, Residential Substance Use Recovery Program.

Professional Focus: Generalized treatment with adolescents and adults. I utilize a variety of modalities, but have most experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from a Client centered approach. I enjoy finding creative ways to help cope with life struggles and helping to empower clients to reach their personal goals.

Hobbies: Love animals, especially dogs. Netflix documentaries and true crime. I enjoy working outside at my home and being with friends and family.

Jennifer Ridolfi, LCSW

Previous Experience: Jennifer has experience working in community mental health, residential treatment, substance use treatment, and school-based treatment. She also has clinical supervisory experience.

Professional Focus: Jennifer has worked with children and families in some capacity for the past 20 years and she has a special interest in working with teens and adults of all ages.

Hobbies: Jennifer enjoys reading and watching documentaries including true crimes. She also loves spending time with friends and family and her three dogs. Jennifer has fostered dogs in the past with three dogs rescue and has had no foster fails.
