After becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2009, shew gained acute care experience working on a Med/Surg Unit, and then 12 years on a Medical Intensive Care Unit. During this time, she also worked in a treatment facility for substance use disorders and medication assisted withdrawal management. After going back to school and becoming a PMHNP-BC in 2022, Kat and her family relocated from CT to Maine and worked for Tri-County Mental Health Services (Spurwink). Professional Focus: Kat works with clients across the lifespan, from young children to older adults who experience a variety of psychiatric disorders, that include neurodevelopmental, mood, psychotic, eating, anxiety, trauma-based, substance use, and personality disorders.
